Zest Delicious Software LLC ("Zzest", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service (the "Service") — whether you are a food creator applying to join Zzest (a "Creator"), or a participant joining a live cooking session (a "Participant" or "Viewer"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When you apply to become a Creator, we collect the information you provide, which may include: your email address (required), your blog domain (if you have a blog), your Instagram and/or TikTok handle(s) (if you have social media accounts), and your self-reported audience size (monthly blog visitors and/or social media followers). We may also collect your name and any other information you choose to provide, such as your referral source or correspondence with us.
To verify social-media Creator applications, Zzest personnel may review publicly available information associated with the Instagram or TikTok handle(s) you provide, including your public profile, posts, and follower information. We only collect information that is publicly available and that you have directed us to review.
Participants who join a live cooking session are not required to create a Zzest account. We do not require a name or email to watch or cook along. Participants who choose to turn on their camera or actively participate may be asked to complete a one-time safety verification, and we may collect limited information necessary to perform that verification.
Live cooking sessions are recorded for safety, quality assurance, moderation, and legal compliance. This includes video and audio content shared during a session. Please disconnect from a session when you are finished using the Service — if you leave a session connected, recording continues and may capture content you did not intend to share. You are responsible for disconnecting when you are no longer actively participating. (See Section 10 for more detail.)
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including device information (type, operating system, browser), IP address and approximate location, usage data, cookies and similar technologies, and log files and analytics.
We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate and analyze the Service. These include strictly necessary cookies (required for the Service to function), functional cookies (to remember your preferences), and analytics cookies (to understand how the Service is used). You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may limit some features.

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, process transactions and manage accounts, communicate with you (including onboarding and session-scheduling communications), and respond to inquiries.
We use Creator application information (including audience size and social handles) to review applications, plan Service capacity, and coordinate live sessions. We use approximate location and shared interests to match participants into lively, geographically appropriate sessions ("smart matching").
We use recordings for service improvement and quality assurance, legal compliance and content moderation, and to train our human moderation team. Recordings are treated in accordance with Section 6 (Data Retention).
We use your information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, protect the rights and safety of Zzest, our users, or others, prevent fraud and abuse, and respond to law enforcement requests.
We use your information to analyze usage patterns, improve the Service and user experience, develop new features, and conduct research.
With your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, we may send you emails about the Service, including launch announcements and updates relevant to your Creator application or participation. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such email or by contacting privacy@zzest.io.
We do not sell your personally identifiable information to third parties. We do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. These include categories of providers such as cloud hosting and infrastructure, video and streaming infrastructure, analytics, email and communications, payment processing, and customer support. They are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was shared.
We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (such as a court or government agency).
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We may share information with your explicit consent or as otherwise described in this policy.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We retain Creator account and application data (including email, handles, blog domain, and audience-size information) for as long as your Creator account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.
Recordings retained for legal compliance and content-moderation purposes are kept for up to 36 months from the date of recording. These recordings are not sold to third parties, are shared only with authorities as required and permitted by law, and must be preserved in their original, unmodified form — they are not subject to deletion requests.
You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting privacy@zzest.io. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law and our retention policies. Recordings retained for legal compliance (Section 6.3) are exempt from deletion requests and will be retained for the full period.
We may retain certain information beyond the periods above as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including information subject to a legal hold or litigation, ongoing investigations, legal defense, or a court order or subpoena.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. This includes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)/California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as similar state laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Iowa, Indiana, Montana, Tennessee, Delaware, Texas, Oregon, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Nebraska, Maryland, Minnesota, and Rhode Island.
California residents may have the right to know what personal information we collect about them, to request deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, to request a portable copy, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do not use sensitive personal information (as defined under the CCPA) for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA. California residents may also have the right to non-discrimination for exercising their privacy rights.
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Because we do not share personal information for such purposes, no such disclosures are made.
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. We do not use tracking technologies for cross-site behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@zzest.io. We will respond within the timeframe required by law and may verify your identity first. Recordings retained for legal compliance (Section 6.3) are exempt from deletion requests regardless of your state of residence.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, without unreasonable delay.
The Service records video and audio while a session is connected, regardless of whether you are actively participating. If you fail to disconnect, recording continues and may capture personal, private, or other content you did not intend to share. You are responsible for disconnecting from sessions when you are no longer actively using the Service, and for ensuring your camera and microphone are not capturing unwanted content. Zzest is not responsible for content recorded due to your failure to disconnect, and such recordings are treated the same as other recordings for the purposes described in this policy.
Video and audio recordings of Sessions may, in some jurisdictions, be considered sensitive or biometric data to the extent they reveal an individual's appearance or voice. We collect and process such data only for the limited purposes described in this policy (safety, moderation, quality assurance, legal compliance), and we do not use it for identification, authentication, or any form of automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or share it. In jurisdictions where consent is required to collect such data, your continued participation in a recorded Session constitutes your consent to the processing described in this policy.
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@zzest.io and we will delete it. We also ask all participants to keep their cameras focused on their cooking area and not to capture minors without the consent of their parent or legal guardian. If we become aware that a minor has been captured in a Session recording, we will handle the recording in accordance with applicable law and may delete or restrict access to the relevant portions.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies. Third-party service providers we work with are contractually obligated to protect your information.
The Service is currently available to users located in the United States. If you access the Service from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where transfers of personal information from the EU, UK, or Switzerland occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect the information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post changes on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
